Q: What type of Camo Netting should I get?

A: Everyone's needs are obviously unique, but here are some basic guidelines to get you started:

  • Covering a vehicle: We recommend Basic Camo Netting.  Get Ultra-lite, as Military Style may scratch your vehicle.

Q: What sizes do you sell?

A: All different sizes including bulk rolls and netting by the foot.  Please check the specific product for that information.

Q: Are your sizes exact?

A: No, all of our listed sizes are streched, camo netting is pliable and sizes do vary.  Joining the nets together also shrinks the size of the net by a inch or so each join.  If you need exact sizes, or are tenting the net, please order a larger size to accomodate your needs.  If the size is listed at 8 feet, it's 7 foot, 10 inches on the ground.  If the size is listed as 10 feet, it's 9 foot 10 inches on the ground.

The netting is also cut and joined by hand so both cuts and joins may vary slightly.

Q: How much Camo Netting do I need to cover an object (car, RV, boat, shed, etc.)?

A: To roughly calculate how many square feet of Camo Netting you need, you should find the Height, Width, and Length of the object (in feet).  Look at the diagram at right for a visual:

Once you have made these measurements, simply enter them into these two equations:

Height + Height + Length = A

Height + Height + Width = B

The resulting numbers A and B will be the dimensions (in square feet) of Camo Netting netting you need.

Q: What is the difference between "Backed" and "Unbacked" Camo Netting?

A: Backed Camo Netting is supported by a durable rope mesh on the backside; Unbacked Camo Netting has no mesh, which means it is lighter but also more likely to tear if put under too much stress.

Q: How does Wind affect your Camo Netting?

A: We do not recommend buying large Ultra-Lite nets in windy areas. They can tear in high winds. We recommend using the Military Style or Mesh Backed camo netting in these instances. All nets will let most of the wind through the leaflets, but in high wind areas Military Style or Mesh Backed will give you the added support you need.

Q: How does Sunlight affect your Camo Netting?

A: All of our camouflage netting is UV treated, but this base treatment doesn't last forever. All situations differ, but we recommend adding a UV base spray that you can get at any hardware store to the net after months of exposure. This will stop the sun from deteriorating the nets if exposed 24/7.

Q: Is your Camouflage Netting see through?

A: Yes, Camo Netting is made up of synthetic leaflets which are there to hide or disguise the outline of the object they are covering.

Q: What type of material is your camo netting made of?

A: Our camo netting is made of lightweight, strong and durable leaf-like material.  It is constructed, using High-Tec strong, but lightweight, military spec rip-stop fabrics and coatings.  We have gone to great lengths to "leaf cut" our fabric so that it looks and acts like normal follage in natural conditions.  The military rip-stop fabric gives our nets texture and depth; this helps our nets "blend" into the natural surroundings.

Q: How much does your camo netting conceal?

A: It depends upon the leaf and the amount of folds.  There are 2 types of leaves in our netting; regular cut and broadleaf cut.  Regular cut is the normal cut of camo netting.  Broadleaf cut is wider and conceals more, but is harder to see through.  If you fold netting it also doubles up the camo and concealment.

Q: How long does it last?

A: It depends upon the quality of camo netting you purchase and how it is treated or used.  All of our netting is top quality and no expense is spared in the manufactoring of it.  Some netting is lighter and not backed by mesh webbing while others are coated and extremely durable.  All of our netting in UV resistant and treated for weatherproofing.

Q: Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

ANSWER:  Nope, sorry!  Due to an increase in the relationship between credit card fraud and P.O. Box addresses we no longer ship to them. Please provide a valid business or residential address at checkout. If you are unable to change your PayPal address or if you have received an email from our customer service department requesting a non P.O. Box address, please contact us by phone at 1(866) 638-4537 or email at customerservice@camonettingstore.com.

Q: Why is there a restocking fee for custom netting?

ANSWER:  We charge a 30% restocking fee for returned custom netting because it is problematic for us to re-sell unless someone wants that exact custom size.  A custom size for Ultra-Lite Netting is anything larger than a 7'10" x 9'10" net.  A custom size for Military Style Netting is anything larger than a 9'10" x 9'10" net.
